How to Use X-Particles

Book update (April 21st 2023)

'How to Use X-Particles' has been updated with a new chapter on the first five of the 'motion' modifiers. New example files are included. In addition, where the various elements in the interface of X-Particles objects are mentioned in the text, these are now highlighted in bold red text to make them easier to find. This book is not intended as a reference manual but if you do want to see what a specific feature does, you should now be able to find this much more readily.

The latest version can be downloaded from this page.

Plugin update (February 2022)

A new plugin is now available for use with X-Particles, the Particle Jiggle plugin. More details and a download link can be found on the plugin's own page on this site.

How to use X-Particles

Welcome to the home page of my free book on using X-Particles for Cinema 4D.

This book is intended for new users of X-Particles, to help you get started and begin to understand what you can do with this huge and sometimes daunting plugin. More experienced users may also find it useful when looking at areas of XP they have not used before but it is primarily intended for new users.

On this site you will be able to download the latest version of the book, view the animations created to demonstrate various points, and download example scene files and add-ons specially written for the book.

This book is being published in stages, starting with the basic use of X-Particles, which was released in September 2021. Further sections will be published over the ensuing months.
