Animations: Emission from an object's position
In this scene the source of emission is a Sphere object, which has been made invisible in the viewport. Emission is from the position of the object in the scene and the position is animated by a Vibrate tag. As the Sphere moves, the emission point moves too, and with a short particle life a trail-like effect is produced:
