Animations: Emitter motion inheritance
In this animation, the emitter has a Vibrate tag attached to it and motion inheritance is enabled. For the first part, the Vibrate tag is disabled and the particles behave as expected from a spherical emitter (these are the blue particles). At frame 90, the tag is enabled (and the particle colour is changed to make the effect easier to see):
